Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC is seeking a skilled Estimator to lead cost estimates for industrial and commercial electrical construction projects nationwide.

You will develop technical scope, prepare pre- and post-approval estimates, and collaborate with project teams on engineering, construction, and contractual requirements. The role requires 5–10 years of estimating, project management, or field experience in electrical construction, with proficiency in Excel and estimating software.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Proven communication, organizational and persuasive interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office and Excel.
• BS/BA in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with RFP prep, evaluations, specifications and pricing schedules.
• Prepare preliminary estimates from limited information and general scopes.
• Develop detailed cost estimates and resource requirements for electrical construction projects.
• Perform material takeoffs and cost analyses to support estimates.
• Provide oversight and maintain estimating databases and tools.
