Job summary

Sturgeon Electric Company, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator C&I to lead the estimating group for complex multi-discipline projects. You will strategize competitiveness, profitability, and growth, review bids, and ensure accurate takeoffs and pricing.

You will guide subcontractor selections, develop labor costs, and own bid compliance with leadership. Strong communication and leadership are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years electrical construction estimating experience.
• Knowledge of NEC codes and reading blueprints/engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates per MYR Group policies and procedures.
• Review specifications and drawings; attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope.
• Develop competitive pricing including alternates and contingencies.
• Solicit quotes from suppliers/subcontractors and review for completeness.
• Lead estimators in takeoffs and bid reviews; manage pricing strategy with leadership.
• Prepare change orders and ensure timely bid submittals.
