Job summary

Sturgeon Electric Company, Inc. in Utah is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead cost estimation and oversee the execution of electrical construction projects on site.

You will manage schedules, budgets, and field activities while coordinating with clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of PM/estimating experience in the electrical industry and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ project management and estimating in the electrical industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree

Responsibilities

• Prepare project construction schedules
• Submit RFIs to clients
• Manage day-to-day activities of assigned projects
• Act as the main point-of-contact for project personnel
• Coordinate meetings, schedule updates, and deliverables for clients
• Prepare look-ahead documents and weekly/monthly progress reports and billing information
• Review and monitor job costs versus budgets
• Report regularly to management
• Prepare complete cost estimates (labor and material) for projects
• Perform field take-offs/evaluations for estimate preparation
• Participate in the estimate review process with stakeholders
• Prepare bills of material for purchasing
• Prepare complete labor and material cost estimates
• Schedule and attend field walk-downs with customers and subcontractors
• Assist in change orders and cost tracking
• Coordinate with project management while maintaining constructability requirements
