Job summary

Sturgeon Electric Company is seeking a Project Manager to oversee cost estimates and operational aspects of electrical construction projects across the western United States. The role involves developing schedules, managing field activities, and serving as the main contact for project personnel.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in project management and estimating within the electrical industry and hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project management and estimating experience in the electrical industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree

Responsibilities

• Prepare project construction schedules
• Submit RFIs to clients
• Manage day-to-day activities of assigned projects
• Act as main point-of-contact for project personnel
• Coordinate meetings, schedule updates, deliverables and address open items with clients
• Prepare look-ahead documents and progress/billing reports
• Review and monitor job costs versus budgets
• Report to management
• Prepare complete cost estimates for labor and material
• Perform field take-offs/evaluations for estimates
• Participate in estimate review with stakeholders
• Prepare bills of material for purchasing
• Schedule field walk-downs with customers and subcontractors
• Assist in change order preparation
• Coordinate with project management
• Ensure regular attendance and other duties as assigned
