Job summary

JE Dunn Construction seeks an Estimating Manager 2 to lead complex cost estimates for multi-project bids. You will review plans, solicit subcontractor pricing, and collaborate with project teams to optimize profitability.

The role requires 5+ years of estimating experience, 8+ years in construction, and strong Excel/estimating software skills. May involve some travel and non-traditional hours to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years estimating experience; total 8+ years construction experience preferred.
• Experience with complex cost estimates and bid administration.
• Ability to read plans/specs and develop scopes for trades.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals.
• Develop scopes of work for trades and manage bid solicitation with vendors.
• Coordinate plans/specifications distribution to subcontractors.
• Lead feasibility studies on life-cycle costs of building systems.
• Support Operations with constructability reviews and risk assessment.
• Present and defend estimates to stakeholders and clients.
