Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Senior Estimating Engineer to advance cost estimates for bids and negotiated proposals. You will participate in the full estimating process, from quantity surveys to vendor coordination, drawing on field exposure and collaboration with project teams.

You will develop value creation items, review subcontractor proposals, and drive revisions to maintain the preconstruction schedule, presenting outcomes to clients as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years construction estimating experience with cost-bid preparation.

Responsibilities

• Create complete cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals.
• Analyze vendor quotes and bids for buyout analysis.
• Lead constructability reviews and coordinate with design teams and consultants.
• Prepare scopes of work for complex trades and assess subcontractor proposals.
• Maintain revisions to keep preconstruction schedule on track.
• Present estimates to clients with required support.
