Job summary

JE Dunn's Advanced Facilities Group is hiring a Senior Estimating Engineer for Advanced Industries in Essex Junction, VT. You will develop complex cost estimates for bids and negotiated proposals, coordinating with vendors, subcontractors, and the design team.

Role involves leading constructability reviews, managing estimate revisions, and presenting findings to clients. A bachelor’s degree in CM/engineering or equivalent experience is required, with 3+ years in construction estimating.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong ability to read and outline project specifications.
• Experience with cost estimating and bid/proposal processes.

Responsibilities

• Performs quantity survey of materials shown on project plans.
• Reads and outlines project specifications.
• Maintains an audit trail of the quantity survey from estimate to estimate.
• Supports vendor/subcontractor pricing/bid solicitation and coordination.
• Supports distribution of plans and specs to vendors/subcontractors.
• Works with project team, subcontractors and clients to ensure alignment.
• Gains field operational exposure through onsite project support.
• Prepares complete cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals with manager review.
• Prepares and analyzes vendor quotes for estimate integration.
• Leads constructability reviews and coordinates with QA/QC.
• Develops scopes of work and coordinates with design team and consultants.
• Presents estimates to clients with support as needed.
