Job summary

JE Dunn Construction’s Advanced Facilities Group is seeking a Senior Estimating Engineer in Vermont to advance complex cost estimates for bids and negotiated proposals, learning JE Dunn processes while contributing to planning and execution.

You will perform quantity surveys, read specifications, coordinate with vendors and subcontractors, and support design and QA/QC reviews, with opportunities to gain field exposure and grow toward Estimating Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of construction experience.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in MS Office and construction estimating software.
• Knowledge of Lean processes and construction management.

Responsibilities

• Performs quantity survey of materials shown on project plans.
• Reads and outlines project specifications.
• Maintains an audit trail of the quantity survey from estimate to estimate.
• Supports vendor/subcontractor pricing and bid solicitation.
• Supports the distribution of plans and specifications to vendors/subcontractors.
• Works collaboratively and creates relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
• Gains self-perform estimating experience.
• Gains field operational exposure through onsite project support.
