Job summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Senior Estimating Engineer for our Advanced Facilities group in Essex Junction, Vermont. You will participate in complex cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals while gaining greater exposure to the building process and our JE Dunn methods.

This role emphasizes accuracy, collaboration across project teams and stakeholders, and the ability to read drawings, prepare quantity surveys, and analyze vendor quotes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Performs quantity survey of materials shown on project plans.
• Reads and outlines project specifications.
• Maintains an audit trail of the quantity survey from estimate to estimate.
• Supports vendor/subcontractor pricing/bid solicitation and coordination.
• Supports the distribution of plans and specifications to vendors/subcontractors.
• Works collaboratively with project team members, subcontractors, vendors and clients.
• Gains field operational exposure through onsite project support.
