Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an Estimating Manager 2 to lead complex cost estimates across multiple projects within our Advanced Facilities group. You will manage bid preparation, material cost tracking, and coordination with vendors and subcontractors to support project profitability.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of estimating experience, a construction management background, and proficient use of Excel and estimating software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.
• 5+ years estimating experience required.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
• Willing to travel overnight may be required.
• Proficiency in MS Office with emphasis on Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepares complex cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals for multiple projects.
• Prepares material and other costs summary for quotes from vendors.
• Tracks value creation items from development through inclusion and documents in project documentation.
• Develops and manages scopes of work for all trades, including responsibility matrix and pricing.
• Reviews financial risk to the company and ensures fee enhancements are within estimates.
