Job summary

Layton Construction seeks a Senior Safety Coordinator to support project teams in implementing environmental, safety, and health standards at the site level. The role requires strong construction safety knowledge, ongoing learning, and collaboration with the ESH Manager and project teams.

Responsibilities include enforcing safety policies, investigating incidents, coordinating orientations, and providing safety training to employees and subcontractors on site.

Qualifications

• BA/BS preferred with minimum 3 years in construction or industrial health and safety programs.
• Documented continuing education in construction safety.
• Certificate for OSHA 510 – Construction Industry standards.
• Certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED within last two years.

Responsibilities

• Champions safety outcomes for internal and external teams.
• Enforces OSHA and Layton Construction standards and policies.
• Assist ESH Manager with accident investigations and data collection.
• Monitor workers’ compensation issues and report information.
• Conduct site safety orientations and participate in pre-construction meetings.
• Assist with injury management and provide safety training at job sites.
• Perform industrial hygiene surveys and respirator fit tests.
• Support VP-Field Operations and HR on compliance matters.
