Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Senior Safety Coordinator to actively support project teams in implementing environmental, safety, and health standards at the site level. This role requires a strong foundation in construction safety practices and commitment to ongoing learning.

Responsibilities include enforcing OSHA standards, investigating incidents with the ESH Manager, site orientations, safety training, and supporting workers’ compensation processes to ensure cost‑effective care and

Qualifications

• BA/BS in safety or related field preferred.
• OSHA 510 – Construction Safety Standards certification held.
• OSHA 30-hour construction training completed.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification within last 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams to implement environmental, safety, and health standards at the site level.
• Enforce OSHA standards and Layton Construction safety policies.
• Investigate accidents and near misses with the ESH Manager.
• Monitor workers’ compensation issues and report timely information.
• Provide safety training to site personnel as assigned.
• Coordinate site safety orientations and pre-construction meetings.
• Assist with injury management to ensure appropriate care and cost control.
• Conduct industrial hygiene surveys and respirator fit tests when needed.
