Job summary

Cytel is seeking an Associate Director of Epidemiological Statistical Programming to lead and mentor a team of statisticians and programmers. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant statistical programming experience in pharma/biotech/CRO/healthcare, with epidemiology/RWE experience.
• Advanced programming in SAS and/or R with reproducible workflows.
• Experience with large healthcare data sources (claims, EHR, registries, etc.).
• Understanding of epidemiological study designs and statistical methods.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor statistical programmers across projects.
• Experience overseeing programming deliverables and coordinating multi-project work.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and functional leadership to statistical programmers in epidemiological studies.
• Lead hands-on statistical programming activities and translate study objectives into robust analytical solutions.
• Develop and maintain SAS and/or R programs for data creation, analyses, and outputs.
• Collaborate with epidemiologists, statisticians, data scientists, and cross-functional partners.
• Review programming deliverables for accuracy, reproducibility, and timeliness.
• Drive standards, automation, and best practices across projects.
