Job summary

Cytel is seeking an Associate Director, Epidemiological Statistical Programming in the United States. You will lead senior programmers embedded with a pharmaceutical client, translating study objectives into robust SAS and R solutions while mentoring the team.

You will oversee analyses across epidemiology and real‑world data, ensuring high quality, reproducible outputs and collaboration with cross‑functional partners. This role requires leadership and deep expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in a quantitative discipline; 8+ years of statistical programming in pharma/biotech/CRO.
• Experience delivering epidemiological and RWE analyses with reproducible workflows.
• Proven ability to mentor and lead programmers, review approaches, and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and functional leadership to epidemiological programmers and mentor team members.
• Lead hands‑on programming for epidemiological studies across therapeutic areas.
• Develop, validate, and maintain SAS and/or R programs for analysis datasets, tables, figures, and outputs.
• Collaborate with epidemiologists, statisticians, data scientists, and cross‑functional partners.
• Oversee deliverables for accuracy, reproducibility, and timelines.
• Support analyses using real‑world data sources and develop analysis‑ready datasets.
