Job summary

Cytel seeks an Associate Director of Epidemiological Statistical Programming to lead and contribute expert programming across epidemiology and real-world studies. You will mentor programmers, translate study objectives into robust analytical workflows, and ensure high-quality, reproducible analyses.

With senior responsibility, you will guide data transformations, QC, and the development of reusable standards, collaborating with cross-functional partners to enable impactful evidence generation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of statistical programming in pharma, CRO, or life sciences.
• Experience with epidemiology, observational studies, RWE, HEOR.
• Advanced SAS and/or R programming for complex analyses.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience overseeing programming deliverables and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and functional leadership to epidemiological programmers.
• Lead hands-on programming for epidemiological studies across therapeutic areas.
• Develop, validate, and maintain SAS/R programs for analyses and data creation.
• Collaborate with epidemiologists, statisticians, and data scientists to define approaches.
• Mentor team members, review approaches, and promote best practices.
• Oversee deliverables for accuracy, reproducibility, and quality.
• Support analyses using real-world data sources and registries.
• Develop analysis-ready datasets, specifications, and QC procedures.
• Promote standards, tools, code libraries, and automation to improve efficiency.
• Plan and prioritize activities across projects and manage risks.
