Job summary

Driscoll Health System seeks an Epic Nursing Informatics Analyst to design, configure, test and support Epic applications, aligning software with clinical workflows and patient care goals. You will coordinate planning, training, implementation and evaluation, with on-call rotation as needed.

The role requires understanding of workflows, leading meetings, maintaining change control, developing training materials, and collaborating with Epic teams and vendors to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Epic certification within the applicable area within 90 days of class attendance.
• National specialty certification attempt within 3–5 years.
• RN license in Texas; BSN required; MSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand the organization, users and workflow in the analyst's assigned area.
• Lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, manage issues and oversee project plans.
• Proactively gather information about underlying needs to influence system build.
• Review, analyze and test changes; follow change control processes.
• Assist in development, implementation, training, evaluation and maintenance of Epic applications.
• Develop tip sheets or training docs for changes to workflows; communicate with leadership and users.
• Maintain Epic user account; participate in webinars and vendor demos for upgrades.
• Maintain contacts with Epic partners and vendors; attend product demonstrations and webinars.
• Perform other related work as required.
