Job summary

Driscoll Health Plan seeks an Epic Nursing Informatics Analyst to design, build/configure, test, validate and support Epic applications. The role requires deep Epic knowledge, coordination of planning and training, and ensuring security and workflow alignment across the health system.

Responsibilities include leading meetings, change control, and developing documentation; on-call may be required. Ideal candidates hold an RN license in Texas and Epic certifications within 90 days of training,

Qualifications

• Epic certification(s) required within 90 days of class attendance.
• 8 years of professional experience.
• BS in Nursing and a master's in nursing or clinical informatics preferred.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Texas.
• Management is typically the next higher level.
• National specialty certification attempted within 3–5 years.

Responsibilities

• Understand organization, users and workflows in assigned area.
• Lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts and oversee project plans with Epic teams.
• Probe for underlying needs to influence system build.
• Review, analyze and test system changes following change control processes.
• Assist with development, implementation, education, evaluation and maintenance of Epic apps.
• Create training materials and communicate updates to leadership and users.
• Maintain Epic user web account and participate in vendor demos and testing.
• Maintain contacts with Epic partners and attend webinars and product demonstrations.
• Perform other related work as required.
