Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA seeks a Senior IT Specialty Analyst to support and optimize Epic applications across Clinical, Revenue Cycle, and Access domains. You will manage builds, upgrades, testing, incidents, and releases while collaborating with end users and cross-functional teams.

The role requires Epic reporting expertise, SQL/SSIS/R/Python skills, and a strong penchant for analysis, quality, and learning.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with Epic reporting tools.
• Experience with Epic reporting tools including Reporting Workbench, Radar dashboards, and SlicerDicer self-service reporting.
• Programming experience with SQL, SSIS, R, Python, or similar tools.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 5+ years of relevant experience with a degree; 7+ years without a degree.
• Epic certification or proficiency in applicable Epic applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Senior IT Specialty Analyst provides day-to-day support, maintenance, optimization, and enhancement of Epic applications across Clinical, Revenue Cycle, and Access areas.
• Performs build/configuration, upgrades and enhancements, workflow assessments, system testing, incident and change management, and software release implementation.
• Works independently with limited supervision and may lead smaller projects or components of larger initiatives; mentors less-experienced team members.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams and end users to evaluate business and clinical needs and improve system utilization.
