Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA seeks a Senior IT Specialty Analyst to support Epic applications across Clinical, Revenue Cycle, and Access areas. The role applies advanced healthcare workflow knowledge to evaluate needs, recommend solutions, and optimize system utilization.

The position involves build/configuration, upgrades, workflow assessments, testing, incident/change management, and software releases. You may lead smaller projects and mentor teammates, with opportunities across Epic domains.

Qualifications

• Epic applications experience and healthcare workflow knowledge.
• Experience with Epic reporting tools and data models.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Relevant programming experience in SQL, R, Python or similar.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support, maintenance, and optimization of Epic apps.
• Lead build/configuration, upgrades, and releases; assess workflows.
• Test, troubleshoot, and manage incidents and changes in Epic environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and end users; guide junior staff.
• Lead smaller projects or components of larger initiatives.
