Job summary

Virtelligence is seeking a Senior Application Analyst – Epic Environments to lead change control, environment strategy, and lifecycle activities for Epic environments. You will coordinate deployments, support upgrades, and ensure system stability across development, testing, training, and production environments.

You will mentor junior analysts and collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver compliant, high-quality changes while maintaining strong service

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field, or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• 5+ years of experience developing or configuring technology solutions in an application analyst or project delivery role and SME in Epic areas: patient identification workflows, revenue cycle, CRM & MyChart, Patient Registration, or lab order entry.
• Possession of or ability to obtain Epic software application certification within 8 weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate Epic change control processes while ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with analysts, project teams, and vendors to assess change impacts and risks.
• Troubleshoot Data Courier issues and guide teams on resolution.
• Monitor change outcomes and drive quality improvements.
• Coordinate environment management across development, testing, training, and production environments.
• Plan and oversee environment refreshes, upgrades, releases and version changes.
• Communicate downtime and maintenance windows; ensure system availability.
• Liaise with infrastructure, networking, database, and vendor teams for stability and performance.
• Provide end-user support for tracking-system issues and act as adviser on Epic deployment strategies.
• Mentor peers and lead complex initiatives involving multiple apps and stakeholders.
• Participate in incident response and root-cause analysis for availability issues.
