Job summary

Adventist HealthCare is seeking an experienced Epic Clinical Information System Analyst III to lead advanced analysis and enterprise workflow design within the Epic Program department.

You will drive high-impact incidents, plan large projects, and mentor analysts while collaborating with operational leaders, vendors, and technical teams to deliver sustainable Epic solutions. This role requires travel and after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare, information systems, business, or related field; advanced education preferred.
• 7-8 years of direct clinical/healthcare ops/clinical information systems experience; Epic experience preferred.
• No formal supervisory experience required; experience leading large workstreams and mentoring analysts required.
• Epic certification in assigned applications required or must be obtained within timeframe
• Must be able to travel, on-call coverage, and extended-hour support for major projects
• Experience in Ambulatory care, Patient Portal, Population Health, Home care or Research preferred

Responsibilities

• Leads advanced analysis and enterprise workflow design; architects, configures, builds, tests, validates, optimizes, and maintains Epic functionality across boundaries.
• Leads resolution of high-impact, cross-application incidents; directs root-cause analysis and communicates through closure.
• Plans and leads large/complex projects, upgrades, implementations, and optimization initiatives with defined milestones and risks.
• Serves as senior liaison for operational leaders, Epic representatives, end users, vendors, and technical teams; facilitates governance decisions.
• Establishes standards for design, testing, change control, documentation, release readiness, data validation, and production support.
• Mentors analysts, coordinates shared work, provides technical direction, and leads knowledge transfer.
• Evaluates emerging capabilities, regulatory and patient-safety requirements, and user feedback for improvements.
• Provides leadership with status, risk, dependency, budget reporting; participates in go-lives, downtimes, and major-event support.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
