Adventist HealthCare seeks an experienced Epic Clinical Information System Analyst II for our Epic Program Department to support the mission of compassionate healing. The role focuses on analyzing requirements, designing and configuring Epic workflows, and owning complex incidents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare, information systems, business, or related field; relevant experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
• 5–6 years of direct clinical, healthcare operations, clinical information systems, application support, or related experience; Epic experience preferred.
• Epic certification in the assigned application(s) is required or must be obtained within the timeframe established by AHC and maintained thereafter.
• No formal supervisory experience required; experience leading workstreams or mentoring colleagues is preferred.
• Must complete required Epic training, projects, and examinations and participate in travel, on-call coverage, and extended-hour support as business needs require.
• Experience in Ambulatory care, Patient Portal, Population Health, Home care or Research preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze intermediate-to-advanced operational and clinical requirements; design workflows and configure, build, tests, validate, and maintain Epic application functionality using established standards and best practices.
• Own complex application incidents and requests; perform root-cause analysis, coordinate cross-application troubleshooting, implement sustainable resolutions, and ensure timely communication with affected users and leaders.
• Plan and lead small-to-medium application projects, enhancements, upgrades, and process-improvement initiatives; manage requirements, scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, testing, and implementation activities.
• Serve as a liaison among end users, operational leaders, Epic representatives, and technical and application teams; facilitate workflow decisions and ensure solutions meet business needs, deliverables, and timelines.
• Assess the impact of application changes across integrated workflows; develop and execute unit, integrated, regression, and user-acceptance testing and validate production outcomes.
• Maintain application, workflow, testing, change-control, issue, and support documentation; develop knowledge articles, training materials, and procedures and support end-user education.
• Provide guidance and quality review for less-experienced analysts and users; share application knowledge and promote consistent build, testing, and documentation practices.
• Participate in go-lives, upgrades, downtimes, and on-call or extended-hour support; communicate project and issue status, risks, dependencies, and escalation needs to leadership.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
