Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an EPC Project Manager to lead utility-scale solar, battery storage, and high voltage substation projects nationwide. The role is based on a Newbern, AL job site with travel requirements and discussion of specifics during interview.

You will manage all aspects from planning and budgeting to change orders, subcontracting and site safety while ensuring on-time completion and financial targets. Strong leadership and technical expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture preferred.
• 5-8 years field construction management experience.
• Ability to lead diverse teams remotely and onsite.
• Proficient in MS Office; CMiC and Bluebeam Revu preferred.
• Knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Understanding of scheduling, cost control, procurement and estimating.
• Knowledge of utility-scale PV plant construction and ISO interconnection timing.
• Willingness to travel at least 50% to job sites.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and manage very large labor crews; optimize sequencing, productivity goals and labor spend.
• Develop and implement safety plans and procedures with the superintendent.
• Oversee project billings to maximize cash flow and shorten pay cycles.
• Present and negotiate change orders with owner.
• Negotiate cost-effective subcontract and material purchases.
• Establish job procedures for buyout, shop drawings and material delivery.
• Maintain project schedule and control costs; ensure timely reporting.
• Manage project team per company policy; mentor junior staff.
• Review contracts to ensure compliance; document key events and communicate with stakeholders.
• Lead preconstruction services and coordinate subcontract packages.
• Assess and mitigate project risks with team and management.
• Maintain Site-Specific Quality Management Plan and ensure quality outcomes.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve logistics issues.
