Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an EPC Project Manager to lead utility-scale solar projects across planning, budgeting, scheduling and risk management. This full-time role is based on a jobsite in Newbern, AL with travel required.

You will supervise large labor crews, coordinate with the superintendent team, manage safety plans, control costs and ensure on-time project delivery while maintaining quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture preferred.
• Field construction management experience (5–8 years) with supervisory skills.
• Ability to lead diverse teams in remote environments.
• Strong MS Office, Bluebeam Revu; CMiC a plus.
• Knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Understanding of scheduling, cost control, procurement and estimating.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and manage significant self-performed work with large labor crews.
• Develop safety plans and implement safety procedures.
• Oversee project billings and cash flow; monitor pay cycles.
• Present and negotiate change orders with owners.
• Negotiate subcontract and material purchases.
• Set up procedures for buyout, shop drawing approvals and delivery.
• Maintain project schedule and manage cost forecasts.
• Supervise project team; mentor junior staff.
• Review contract terms and ensure compliance.
• Document key project events and preconstruction activities.
• Direct subcontract bid packages and vendor coordination.
• Assess project risk and develop mitigation plans.
• Maintain Site-Specific Quality Management Plan.
• Complete close-out procedures and warranty follow-ups.
