Job summary

SOLV Energy seeks an EPC Project Manager to lead management of utility-scale solar projects on site, coordinating planning, budgeting, scheduling and risk control. You will mentor field teams, oversee safety plans, and drive project success with strong leadership and technical expertise.

Based on a full-time role at a Newbern, AL project site with travel, you will oversee subcontractors, manage billings and ensure on-time completion within budget while maintaining SOLV Energy's quality standards.

Qualifications

• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Field construction management experience (5-8 years, including supervisory skills).
• Leadership ability to pull together diverse teams in a remote environment and organize them into a cohesive project team.
• Strong computer skills with MS Office; Bluebeam Revu; CMiC experience a plus.
• Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Thorough understanding of scheduling, cost control, procurement and estimating.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and manage significant scopes of self-performed work; oversee large labor crews.
• Develop safety plans and implement safety procedures.
• Oversee project billings and optimize cash flow; manage aged receivables.
• Present and negotiate change orders with the owner.
• Negotiate subcontract and material purchases; ensure timely buyout and material delivery.
• Keep project on schedule and manage cost forecasting and EAC.
• Supervise project team and mentor junior staff.
• Review contract conditions and ensure compliance.
• Document major project events and changes; manage preconstruction activities.
• Coordinate with material suppliers and subcontractors for timely deliveries.
