Job summary

The Perry Group, a CDM Smith company, seeks an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with heavy industrial power plant experience. You will define scope, schedules, and budgets, manage costs and billing, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects safely and profitably.

Responsibilities include risk and change management, client communications, and mentoring junior PMs. Travel is minimal; position supports key stakeholders and regulatory coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 13+ years of relevant work experience.
• PMP, CCM or DBIA certification required within 12 months of hire.
• Significant design-build / EPC experience with heavy industrial power projects.

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
• Prepares detailed statements of work with work breakdown structures and secures approvals from stakeholders.
• Manages project costs to ensure profitability and timely client payments.
• Reviews and approves subcontractor invoices; ensures payment to external resources.
• Monitors project status, risks, and change management; escalates as needed.
• Communicates deadlines, assignments, and objectives to the project team.
• Prepares overall project schedule and in-house budgets by group responsibility.
• Coordinates submittals with agencies and reviews project documents.
• Mentors less experienced Project Managers and supports pre-bid meetings and bid tabulations.
• Prepares monthly reports, bid packages, addendums, and contract modifications.
