Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, seeks an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with heavy industrial power plant experience. You will lead scope, budgets, schedules, and client relations, delivering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities include managing costs for profitability, coordinating with engineering and construction teams, and mentoring junior staff while ensuring compliance and performance across programs. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires strong project management methodology with budgeting, planning, control, and finance concepts.
• Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication.
• Shows interpersonal and presentation skills for client and team interactions.
• Capable of interacting with staff at all levels and with vendors/subcontractors.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel; strong organizational skills.
• Understanding of construction documents and production methods.

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
• Prepares detailed statements of work with work breakdown structures and gains concurrence from stakeholders.
• Manages project costs and is responsible for profitability.
• Produces and reviews client billings; ensures timely payments and approves subcontractor invoices.
• Monitors project status, risks, and change management processes.
• Coordinates and monitors technical work of each task/deliverable.
• Prepares monthly reports and closeout meetings.
• Mentors less experienced Project Managers.
