Job summary

The Perry Group, a CDM Smith company, is seeking an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with significant experience in heavy industrial power / power plants. You will create definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives, and drive profitability across projects in a leadership role.

Responsibilities include budgeting, change management, client billing, risk escalation, and mentoring junior PMs. A Bachelor’s degree and 13+ years of relevant experience, plus PMI/ CCM/DBIA certification

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Thirteen (13) or more years of relevant work experience
• PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification required within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
• Prepares detailed statements of work with work breakdown structures (budgets) and gains concurrence from stakeholders.
• Manages project costs and is responsible for profitability.
• Creates and reviews client billings; ensures timely client payment and follows up on outstanding invoices.
• Reviews and approves subcontractor/vendor invoices to ensure timely payment.
• Monitors project status and escalates risks as appropriate.
• Manages project change using change management protocols.
• Clearly communicates deadlines, assignments, and objectives to the project team.
• Prepares overall project schedule/timeline and in-house budgets by group responsibility.
• Mentors less experienced Project Managers.
