Job summary

Quanta Services' QISG unit in Blacksburg, VA is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to lead design-build/EPC projects from inception through closeout.

You will supervise engineering, procurement, scheduling, and construction teams, ensuring on-time delivery, safety, and quality across all contract facets. Your leadership will coordinate with customers, subcontractors, and field staff, develop schedules and budgets, manage changes, and mentor junior team members to meet project milestones and company

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Science/Management, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 10+ years’ experience in Construction Project Management with DB/EPC projects in the power delivery industry.
• Thorough knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in transmission, distribution, and substation work.
• Experience in engineering, design, scheduling, bidding, project management and administration of prime contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manages integrated Design-Build (DB)/Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) teams from project inception through completion.
• Provides overall direction of intermediate and final engineering design and construction activities.
• Administers the prime contract, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Ensures safety, quality, and environmental goals are met to customer expectations.
• Plans, executes, and reports on overall project performance.
• Coordinates with the customer for clear communication and satisfaction on site.
• Oversees changes to the prime contract and cost control processes.
• Develops project schedules and budgets with cross-functional teams.
• Mentors junior staff and leads project teams to milestones.
• Performs cost reviews and progress reporting for monthly meetings.
