Job summary

AMERICAN ELECTRIC POWER (on-site) seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead complex EPC/CCGT projects within a matrix environment. You will manage planning, execution, and controls to deliver safe, cost-effective outcomes while aligning with company standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating schedules, budgets, and stakeholders; mentoring teams; and ensuring a zero-harm safety culture across projects and sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Ten years of qualified experience; PMP req. or approval to waive.
• Experience in project management, major construction, and project controls.
• Knowledge across cost estimating, contracting, risk management, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage project activities using PM principles (Waterfall, Agile).
• Ensure safe working environment with Zero Harm focus and safety process adherence.
• Manage project plan, schedule, budget, tools and staff; reallocate funding as needed.
• Communicate project status and updates; prepare detailed stakeholder reports.
• Develop relationships with internal/external customers, partners, and suppliers.
