Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or related field with ten years qualified experience.
• Associate degree in the same required disciplines with twelve years of qualified experience.
• High School Diploma/GED with fourteen years of qualified experience.
• Three years as PROJECT MANAGER PRINCIPAL (Grade 9) preferred, or demonstrated competency in shorter timeline.
• PMP certification required unless waived by senior leadership.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Experience in project management, construction, estimating, controls, and startup.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage assigned project activities with expert proficiency in Waterfall and Agile.
• Support and uphold AEP System Safety Process to ensure a safe working environment.
• Manage project plan, schedule, budget, tools, and staff with effective cost control.
• Communicate project status and lead stakeholder presentations; provide clear written and oral reports.
• Develop relationships with project teams, customers, contractors, vendors and regulators.
• Provide training and guidance to others to improve processes, schedules and costs.
• Represent AEP with industrial customers, vendors, and regulators as needed.
• Use and align with AEP project management standards across projects.
