Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, seeks an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with significant heavy industrial power plant experience. You will define project scope, manage budgets, schedules, and client billing, and mentor junior PMs.

Strong leadership, risk management, and communication skills are essential for delivering complex projects on time and within budget. Responsibilities include coordinating with engineering disciplines, managing change, and ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Thirteen (13) or more years of relevant work experience.
• PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list)

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
• Prepares detailed statements of work with work breakdown structures (budgets) and gains concurrence from stakeholders.
• Manages project costs and profitability.
• Prepares and reviews client billings and ensures timely payments; reviews subcontractor invoices for timely payment.
• Monitors project risks and escalates as appropriate.
• Manages change using change management protocols.
• Communicates deadlines, assignments, and objectives to the project team.
• Prepares overall project schedule/timeline and in-house budgets by group responsibility.
• Coordinates submittals to local/state/federal agencies.
• Reviews and approves Engineering Change Notices when appropriate.
• Marshalling bid/tender processes and closeout activities.
• Mentors less experienced Project Managers.
