Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, is seeking an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with significant expertise in heavy industrial power/ power plant projects. You will define project scope, manage budgets and schedules, coordinate with internal and external teams, and ensure profitable delivery and timely billing.

Responsibilities include creating work plans, leading change control, mentoring junior PMs, and interfacing with clients and vendors.

Qualifications

• Significant experience with project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, project management software and finance and accounting concepts.
• Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
• Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and clients.
• Ability to interact with varying levels of staff and with vendors/subcontractors.
• Expert knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
• Superior organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
• Understanding of construction documents and production methods.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create project definitions, schedules, budgets and objectives for projects.
• Prepare statements of work with work breakdown structures and gain approval.
• Manage project costs and profitability.
• Prepare and review client billings and ensure payment; review subcontractor invoices.
• Monitor project status and escalate risks as needed.
• Manage change using change protocols.
• Communicate deadlines, assignments and objectives to the project team.
• Prepare overall project schedule/timeline and in-house budgets by group.
• Facilitate meetings with stakeholders and coordinate submittals.
• Mentor less experienced Project Managers.
• Prepare closeout, lessons learned, monthly reports, bid packages and addendums.
• Record and distribute contract modifications; respond to RFIs.
• Coordinate with Project Construction Manager for pre-bid meetings and bid results.
• Review project documents and monitor progress toward deliverables.
