Job summary

RTX seeks a Principal Systems Engineer – EO/IR or RF Signal Processing in Tucson, AZ to design, develop, and test advanced algorithms for sensor data. You will work across modeling, simulation, and hardware integration, contributing to live-fire readiness and system performance validation.

The role requires a strong background in signal processing for EO/IR or RF, proficiency in C/C++, and experience with algorithm development.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 8+ years of relevant experience.
EO/IR or RF signal processing experience.
Proficient in C/C++, OO languages including C++, C#, or Java.
Experience with algorithm design, implementation, testing, and optimization.
Ability to obtain and maintain Interim Secret clearance prior to start.

Responsibilities

Apply advanced signal processing knowledge to missile program objectives and project budgets.
Use simulations to design, develop, prototype, integrate, test, and evaluate signal processing algorithms.
Test, verify, and validate sensor models and algorithm performance in labs per requirements.
Integrate algorithms into hardware across development phases from start-up to live-fire testing.
Mentor and share knowledge with team members across disciplines.
