Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer – EO/IR or RF Signal Processing to join the PG&C Center in Tucson, AZ. You will design, prototype, test, and integrate signal processing algorithms across missile-system programs with a focus on performance and reliability.

You will work in an onsite environment, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams, mentoring others, and supporting lived-fire testing and model validation throughout development cycles.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in signal processing.
• Experience with EO/IR, RF, Sonar, or Acoustic domains.
• Proficiency in C programming and OO languages (C++, C#, Java).
• Ability to obtain and maintain Interim Secret clearance prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, prototype, integrate, test, and assess RF/EO/IR signal processing algorithms.
• Modify simulations for design and verification of algorithms and models.
• Test and validate sensor models and algorithm performance in labs.
• Integrate algorithms into hardware and support development phases and reviews.
• Mentor colleagues and share knowledge across teams.
