Job summary

Stantec is seeking an exceptionally talented individual with a keen interest in permitting complex pipeline and energy projects to join our Gulf region team in the United States. The role involves leading oil & gas midstream permitting projects, coordinating with agencies on FERC, NEPA, and related regulatory requirements, and developing strong client relationships to identify new business opportunities.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of relevant experience, including 5 years managing FERC

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years work experience in a similar position.
• Minimum 5 years direct experience preparing, managing and authoring FERC permit applications.
• Experience permitting large natural gas or liquids pipelines is critical.
• Experience with Threatened and Endangered Species, Sections 404/10, CZMA, and Section 106 Cultural Resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project management for oil & gas midstream permitting projects and energy transition projects across the US.
• Manage permit applications and agency coordination for FERC-related regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships and support proposal development.
• Create technical documents to support regulatory submissions.
• Ensure adherence to Health, Safety and Environment policies across project phases.
• Collaborate with Environmental and Regulatory Specialists to maintain project consistency.
• Support multiple Stantec projects and offices nationwide.
