Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced environmental professional to lead permitting for oil & gas midstream and energy-transition projects within the Gulf region. The role emphasizes regulatory strategy, agency coordination, and collaboration with a broad team of biology, hydrology, GIS, and engineering experts.

The position offers flexible location within Stantec’s Gulf region and requires strong communication with clients, regulators, and project teams to deliver compliant, timely outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Environmental Science or related field.
• 7+ years of work experience in a similar position.
• 5+ years of direct experience preparing, managing and authoring FERC permit applications.
• Direct experience with Threatened and Endangered Species, 404/10, CZMA, and Section 106 Coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project management for oil & gas midstream permitting projects and energy transition projects across the US.
• Manage permit applications and agency coordination related to species protections and regulatory sections.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships and support proposal development.
• Create and review technical documents supporting regulatory submissions.
• Support and ensure implementation of HSSE policies throughout project planning and execution.
• Collaborate with Environmental and Regulatory Specialists to ensure consistent project execution.
