Job summary

Stantec is seeking an exceptionally talented individual with a keen interest in permitting complex pipeline and energy projects to join our team. You will lead permitting for oil & gas midstream projects and energy transition initiatives, coordinating with specialists across biology, GIS, and policy.

The role supports projects nationwide from a flexible Gulf region location. Ideal candidates have 7+ years in similar roles, with direct FERC permit experience and strong client relationship skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Environmental Science or related field.
• 7+ years work experience in a similar position.
• 5+ years direct experience preparing, managing and authoring FERC permit applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project management for oil & gas midstream permitting projects and energy transition projects throughout the US.
• Manage permit applications and agency coordination related to Threatened and Endangered Species, Sections 404/10, CZMA, and Section 106.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships, including seeking opportunities for new business and supporting proposal development.
• Create technical documents and provide review of technical documents that support regulatory submissions.
• Support and ensure implementation of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policies, Procedures, Standards and Guidelines in the execution of all work.
• Communicate and collaborate with other Environmental and Regulatory Specialists to ensure consistency in project execution.
• This position works as part of a larger midstream & energy permitting team and there will be opportunities to support multiple Stantec projects and offices nationwide.
