Job summary

Stantec seeks an experienced environmental permitting professional to lead pipeline permits and energy-transition projects. You will coordinate with regulators and clients, manage regulatory submissions, and ensure HSE compliance across a nationwide team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Environmental Science or related field.
• Minimum 7+ years of work experience in a similar position.
• Minimum 5 years direct experience preparing and managing FERC permit applications.
• Direct experience with Threatened and Endangered Species, Section 404/10, CZMA, and Section 106.
• Ability to manage pipelines projects and coordinate agency reviews.
• Strong written and oral communication with clients and regulators.
• Ability to balance a heavy workload in a mobile, changing environment.
• Good driving record and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project management for oil & gas midstream permitting projects and energy-transition work in the US.
• Manage permit applications and agency coordination for various regulatory programs.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and support proposal development.
• Create and review technical documents supporting regulatory submissions.
• Ensure Health, Safety and Environment policies are followed across project activities.
• Collaborate with Environmental and Regulatory Specialists to ensure consistency in execution.
• Contribute to a larger midstream permitting team with opportunities across offices.
