Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced environmental professional to lead permitting for oil and gas midstream and energy transition projects across the United States. The role involves regulatory coordination, technical document preparation, and strong client engagement.

Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor’s in Environmental Science, 7+ years of relevant experience, and proven skills in FERC permit processes, NEPA, and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7+ years work experience in a similar environmental role.
• Minimum of 5 years direct experience preparing, managing and authoring FERC permit applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project management for oil & gas midstream permitting projects and energy transition efforts in the US.
• Manage permit applications and agency coordination for Threatened & Endangered Species, Sections 404/10, CZMA, and Section 106.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and support proposal development.
• Prepare and review technical documents for regulatory submissions.
• Support HSSE policies and coordinate with HSSE professionals throughout project phases.
• Collaborate with Environmental & Regulatory Specialists to ensure consistency.
• Contribute to a larger midstream permitting team across multiple projects and locations.
