Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced environmental permitting professional to lead midstream oil & gas projects and energy transition initiatives across the U.S. You will manage permit applications, coordinate with agencies, and contribute to proposal development while ensuring HSE policy adherence.

Based in the Tulsa/Houston region, you will collaborate with biology, geology, and regulatory specialists, build client relationships, and help grow the practice by delivering compliance strategies for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• Minimum of 7+ years work experience in a similar permitting position.
• Minimum 5 years direct experience preparing, managing and authoring FERC permit applications.
• Direct experience with Threatened & Endangered Species, 404/10, CZMA, and Section 106.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project management for oil & gas midstream permitting projects and energy transition projects.
• Manage permit applications and agency coordination for applicable regulations.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships and support proposal development.
• Create and review technical documents supporting regulatory submissions.
• Support Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies in project execution.
• Collaborate with Environmental and Regulatory Specialists to ensure consistent execution.
• Work as part of a larger midstream permitting team across multiple Stantec projects and offices.
