Job summary

Stantec seeks an environmental permitting professional to lead complex oil & gas midstream permitting projects and energy transition initiatives. You’ll manage FERC-related permit applications, coordinate with agencies, and maintain strong client relationships across the US.

Based in the Gulf region with flexible location, you’ll mentor junior staff, ensure compliance with NEPA/404/106, and contribute to winning proposals and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing pipeline projects.
• Experience permitting large natural gas or liquids pipelines is critical.
• Experience with FERC and NEPA requirements and processes.
• Experience managing FERC-regulated projects and related applications.
• Experience managing resource report development for FERC-regulated projects.
• Strong ability to work under pressure and prioritize workloads.
• Excellent oral and written communication, client-focused.
• Foster and grow strong client relationships
• HSSE policies and client-specific training knowledge
• Project management with attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project management for oil & gas midstream permitting projects and energy transition projects in the US.
• Manage permit applications and agency coordination for species, 404/10, CZMA, and Section 106.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships and assist proposals.
• Create and review technical documents for regulatory submissions.
• Support HSE policies and coordinate with HSSE professionals.
• Collaborate with Environmental and Regulatory Specialists for project consistency.
• Contribute to multiple Stantec projects and offices nationwide.
