Job summary

BKF is seeking a Senior Regulatory Specialist and Project Manager to support its environmental consulting practice in California. The role combines permitting, regulatory compliance, and senior project management with potential work as a project biologist or wetland delineation expert.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in leadership, strong regulatory knowledge, and a track record of managing teams and client relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in environmental science.
• Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years in progressive leadership roles with oversight of cultural resource professionals.
• Strong understanding of federal and state environmental regulations and laws.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental permitting efforts including Incidental Take Permits, Habitat Conservation Plan drafting, and CWA/section 1600 permits.
• Participate in business development and pursue contracts.
• Assist other BKF divisions on multi-disciplinary pursuits.
• Ensure timely deliverables and budgets while coordinating with clients and partners.
• Possible roles as project biologist or wetland delineation expert.
