Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering (BLE) seeks a Department Manager to lead Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation Services in the Charlotte metro area. This senior role oversees technical performance, staff development, and client service while partnering with the Charlotte Branch Manager to grow the practice.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in environmental consulting, PE/PG registration (NC preferred), and strong leadership, budgeting, and project-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related technical discipline.
• Must meet definition of Environmental Professional per 40 CFR 312.10.
• PE or PG in NC strongly preferred; certifications like RSM, REM, CHMM encouraged.
• 8+ years in environmental consulting with project management and staff leadership.
• Experience managing environmental due diligence, site investigation, remediation, regulatory closure, including Phase I and Phase II.

Responsibilities

• Lead BLE’s Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation Services Department in Charlotte.
• Oversee project delivery, staffing, budgets, and client service.
• Develop departmental priorities, workflows, and best practices.
• Manage staff growth, recruiting, performance, and succession planning.
• Grow client relationships and contribute to proposals and pursuits.
