Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. seeks a Department Manager for Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation Services in the Charlotte region. This senior leader will shape a new department, drive technical quality, and deliver client-focused solutions.

You will oversee staff, budgets, and project delivery while collaborating with BLE leadership to expand the Charlotte practice and pursue growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or a related technical discipline.
• PE or PG registration in North Carolina preferred; other environmental certifications encouraged.
• Typically 8+ years of progressive experience in environmental consulting with project management and staff leadership.
• Experience managing due diligence, site investigation, remediation and regulatory-closure projects.
• Strong knowledge of ASTM standards, All Appropriate Inquiries, and federal/state programs.
• Ability to build trusted client relationships and lead proposals and pursuits.

Responsibilities

• Lead BLE’s Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation Services Department in Charlotte.
• Oversee technical delivery, staff development, project scope and budgets.
• Coordinate with Branch Manager and business development to grow the practice.
• Ensure compliance with ethics, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Guide risk assessment, QA/QC, and final technical reviews as needed.
• Develop strategies for client relationships and project pursuits.
