Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. (BLE) seeks a Department Manager to lead the Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation Services in the Charlotte metro area.

This senior role oversees technical delivery, staff development, and client service while partnering with the Charlotte Branch Manager to grow the practice. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in environmental consulting, a relevant degree, and professional registration (PE/PG) preferred, with strong leadership and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science required; advanced training preferred.
• Professional PE or PG in North Carolina strongly preferred.
• Typically 8+ years of progressive environmental consulting experience with project leadership.
• Experience with Phase I/II assessments and remediation projects.
• Familiarity with ASTM standards, AAI requirements, and federal/state programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead BLE’s Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation Services in the Charlotte metro area.
• Oversee projects from scoping to closure with staffing, budgets, and client communication.
• Develop QA/QC, proposals, work plans, reports, and technical deliverables.
• Manage relationships with clients and support growth opportunities.
• Coach staff, manage budgets, utilization, and profitability targets.
