Job summary

BUNNELL LAMMONS ENGINEERING is seeking a Department Manager for Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation Services in the Charlotte area. This senior role leads technical delivery, staff development, financial results, and client service while partnering with the Charlotte Branch Manager to grow the practice.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in environmental consulting, PE/PG registration preferred, and a track record of managing due diligence, site investigations, and remediation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related technical discipline required.
• PE or PG registration in North Carolina strongly preferred.
• Typically 8+ years of progressive environmental consulting experience with project.management and staff leadership.
• Experience with environmental due diligence, site investigations, remediation, and regulatory closure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental due diligence, site investigation, remediation, and regulatory-closure projects from scoping to closure.
• Oversee project staffing, budgets, schedules, and client communication.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing team; manage departmental performance and profitability.
• Guide QA/QC, review proposals, work plans, and technical deliverables.
• Foster trusted client relationships and lead major pursuits and proposals.
