Job summary

GHD is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Reclamation & Closure to lead complex mining projects across the lifecycle. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, develop execution plans, budgets, and schedules, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while maintaining client relationships.

The role emphasizes hybrid work with office presence three days a week, travel to client sites, and accountability for project profitability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of mining consulting experience across environmental/geotechnical domains.
• Experience with mine permitting and regulatory compliance (air, NEPA, NPDES, stormwater).
• 5+ years managing reclamation/closure projects in mining.
• Ability to travel to client sites.
• Professional registration (PE, PG) a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex mining projects across lifecycle.
• Develop project execution plans, scopes of work, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, geologists, and construction professionals.
• Monitor performance to ensure scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives.
• Identify and mitigate project risks; manage subcontractors and subconsultants.
• Facilitate meetings and maintain client/stakeholder communication.
• Ensure compliance with PM procedures and quality management systems.
• Accountable for project profitability and financial performance.
• Manage budgets, forecasting, invoicing, and change management.
• Track metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
