Job summary

Empower is seeking an expert in Enterprise Resiliency to lead business continuity planning, testing, and recovery efforts across lines and systems. You will coordinate documentation, validate exercises, and drive improvements in response and restoration capabilities.

You will mentor teams, manage schedules, and ensure effective communication with remote stakeholders, with a focus on financial services continuity. This role operates in a professional office environment with growth potential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in business continuity within financial services or related fields.
• Strong background in business continuity and financial services.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with business partners in remote locations.
• Strong administrative and resource management skills, including the ability to develop tasks and manage resources to achieve deliverables.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Ability to provide after-hours or on-call support as required.
• Active BC certification or equivalent within first year.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise and support to management and functional teams to ensure appropriate planning for business disruptions.
• Coordinate annual schedules for business continuity and technical recovery documentation maintenance, exercises, reviews, and validation.
• Oversee development of Operational Business Impact Analyses, BC Plans, Technical Recovery Plans, and Incident Response Plans.
• Recommend recovery strategies and assist with implementing recovery solutions.
• Utilize the BCM System to integrate planning, assessments, recovery procedures, and data.
• Develop training schedules and deliver training to planners and sponsors.
• Support emergency notification system updates, validation, and exercises.
• Perform routine administrative activities and documentation.
• Develop, implement, and manage ad hoc projects as needed.
