Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. seeks a Principal Solution Architect to lead enterprise GIS architecture, deploying ESRI solutions across VM and cloud platforms. You will drive business development, build client relationships, and promote geospatial capabilities while guiding project teams.

Role requires 10+ years in GIS, strong ESRI expertise, and ability to translate requirements into scalable architectures. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (CS/Engineering/Geoinformatics).
• 10+ years in GIS design and architecture.
• Experience installing/configuring enterprise Esri environments.
• Cloud-based and cloud-native architecture experience.
• Proven business development in geospatial tech.
• Experience integrating GIS with SAP/Maximo/OT systems.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical GIS solutions.
• Experience leading multi-workstream teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and implementation of enterprise GIS on VM and cloud platforms.
• Develop and deploy scalable, resilient GIS solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS into broader tech initiatives.
• Lead or assist integrations with Maximo, SAP, or ADMS.
• Administer enterprise Esri deployments in client data centers or cloud.
• Engage with clients, deliver workshops and demonstrations of GIS capabilities.
• Collaborate with sales/marketing on business growth and proposals.
